I love January. Not only for the promise of what is to come; more adventures, getting to know new clients, gorgeous weddings, exciting travels…the list goes on! However one of my favourite things to do in the new year is to reflect on the year just passed. The amazing people we met, the love stories we captured, the places we visited and the memories we not only documented but created ourselves! One way of doing this is by making a nectar list, writing down all the sweet things that life brought our way over the last year. Looking back on all this goodness make us feel grateful and even more hopeful for what the future holds. So with that in mind we’ve made a nectar list of all the fabulous weddings we photographed in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire and London in 2015! Thank you to all the amazing couples who invited us to be part of their wonderful weddings. We are so lucky to have worked with some spectacular venues; The Rosewood London, Barnsley House, Blenheim Palace, Lower Slaughter Manor, The Bodleian Library, Le Manoir and Calcot Manor. Our appreciation also to the following phenomenal wedding planners and event designers – Isobel Weddings, Planned for Perfection and Pocketful of Dreams – who made so many of these occasions a dream for us and our couples! Wishing you all an even sweeter 2016 in love and life!
Anna and Rhys were married at the fabulous Rosewood in London. Their stylish London nuptials were perfectly prepped by the fantastic team at Isobel Weddings!
Carly and Gareth‘s romantic countryside nuptials at Calcot Manor over the summer really stole our hearts…as did Carly’s amazing Philippa Lepley wedding dress!
Ella and Roman celebrated their big day in way that truly matched their adventurous spirit and generous hearts! Pocketful of Dreams worked her magic to ensure our couple’s personalities were woven into every part of their 3 day festival wedding.
Fiona and Ted celebrated their beautiful winter wedding at the Tythe Barn in Oxfordshire. Their day was a revelry in all things pretty with fairy lights twinkling and gorgeous blooms abounding!
Gemma and Matt celebrated their gorgeous wedding at Lower Slaughter Manor in the Cotswolds. We loved that Gemma did not once stop smiling throughout the entire day. Our Bride looked so beautiful in her Stewart Parvin dress too!
Helen and Adam‘s Blenheim Palace wedding was just too gorgeous for words. Our Bride had a swoon worthy vision. This included cascading 12 foot floral garlands, oversized balloons, her Bridesmaids in imported Monique Lhullier gowns and her own bespoke Suzanne Neville dress that would take Adam’s breath away! Everything unfolded perfectly thanks to award winning wedding planner Planned for Perfection!
Alex and Mark celebrated their wedding with a romantic outdoor wedding ceremony in the Cotswolds and reception at Hyde Barn. The day was overflowing with happiness, blue skies and the prettiest touches!
Lauren and Oliver flew over from the States for their fairytale English wedding at the Manor House in Castle Combe. We loved working with Jane from Planned for Perfection again who made everything unfold just as Lauren had wished for during all her months of planning from across the waters!
Nicola and Bryn’s dreamy winter wedding at Barnsley House after Christmas was our last one of 2015. We could not have wished for a more gorgeous end to the year! We’ll be sharing their full wedding on our journal soon. With their romantic First Look and a Sparkler arrival at Barnsley House it really was the most beautiful day!
Rebecca and Stephen‘s black tie wedding at Botleys Mansion fell on the most perfect summer’s day. It was a day overflowing with emotion that will always remind us that family really is the most important thing. Becky’s bespoke Sassi Holford dress was also a favourite!
Ruth and Edward celebrated their wedding on our Bride’s family farm this winter. Over 350 guests showed up to wish our couple well! Ruth’s Jesús Peiró dress *complete with pockets* was both practical and stylish!
Louisa and Stuart celebrated their wedding on a beautiful winter’s day at Lower Slaughter Manor last month. Roaring fires and Christmas trees made it a beautifully festive occasion. We look forward to sharing more from Louisa and Stuart’s wedding on our journal soon!
Senay and Steven tied the knot with a relaxed and luxurious wedding celebration at the lovely Le Manoir. With the lavender avenue in full bloom and fluffy clouds accenting the light blue skies our couple really chose the perfect setting for their summer soiree.
Zoe and Karsten decided on a fabulous destination wedding at Oxford University’s Bodleian Library. Even though they both studied here fate brought our couple together in her own time so it was the perfect opportunity for them to experience this special place with each other.
Sarah and Tom enjoyed their dreamy destination wedding in the charming English countryside. We loved the riverside setting, our Bride’s beautiful Jenny Packham dress and working with the fabulous Isobel Weddings yet again!
Hayley and Rob celebrated their big day at the truly magnificent Blenheim Palace. A stunning summer’s day turned into a perfect evening with the most coveted golden light for their wedding photographs!
Liz and James chose the romantic setting of Lower Slaughter for their wedding day. A ceremony in the village church was followed by gorgeous portraits in the ethereal Autumn sunshine and a reception at the Slaughters Country Inn.
Helen and Chris’s destination wedding at Lower Slaughter Manor was a suitably stylish affair. Our Bride was a vision in her Suzanne Neville dress and cathedral veil, which suited the elegant and romantic style of their wedding.
With this we conclude our 2015 Wedding Nectar List. We can say hand on heart how privileged we feel to have crossed paths with each one of our gorgeous couples!
