Ruth and Edward married on a windy winter’s day in early December on our Bride’s family farm. The Vineyard has been home to Ruth’s family for generations. The farm was a fitting place for all their family and friends to join together in celebration. We loved that the entire day was focused around farm life and community. Their wedding date was picked to work around the agricultural calendar. The beef for the meal came directly from the farm. Nearly every supplier for the day had some connection with the family and the neighbouring farming community. We felt very privileged to be part of an occasion that was clearly a celebration of the local area where Ruth and Edward first met, fell in love, now live and got married! Ruth and Edward we wish you the best as you continue to navigate life’s adventures as husband and wife. With a devotion as fierce as the winds you really have found a great love in each other.
As Ruth prepared for her wedding in her parents’ farm house it was clear just how important family would be on this day.
Ruth looked beautifully elegant in ivory Emmy shoes and understated pearl detailing. A vintage lace handkerchief belonging to Ruth’s grandmother was her something blue…
A stunning Jesús Peiró design from the lovely White Room boutique in Minchinhampton reflected Ruth’s personality, with its graceful lines and practical pockets.
Ruth and Edward decided on a traditional ceremony in the local Church situated much closer to the farm than a country mile.
Ruth and her Father made the short journey from the farm to the church in what better than the back of a tractor of course!
Friends and family crowded into the tiny Church to witness our couple exchange their vows and say I do…
Ruth and Edward then shared their first kiss as husband and wife!
An emotional ceremony was quickly followed by a jubilant round of confetti, made even more exciting by the ferocious winds that marked the occasion.
Everyone then returned to The Vineyard Farm for the resulting festivities, our newlyweds travelling in their Just Married tractor!
On arrival we braved the winds making the most of the natural light for some gorgeous photos of our newlyweds in their element!
Ruth and Edward we loved photographing the two of you together, your love shines so brightly and so darn beautifully!
The dramatic winter skies lent themselves to this romantic silhouette.
After portraits and family photos outside Ruth and Edward were welcomed into their marquee by a 150 cheering guests!
The setting for the marquee was in fact the very place Ruth and Edward first met, when our Bride’s family hosted the annual hunt ball.
Delicious food was followed by fabulous dancing. Ruth and Edward set the tone with an amazing first dance that led to a dance floor that was filled to capacity for the the rest of the night with an additional 200 revellers!
Thank you to everyone who made Ruth and Edward’s Cotswold farm winter wedding happen:
