Alex and Mark tied the knot at their sweet summer soiree in the Cotswolds this August. English weather put its best foot forward on this very special day. Our lovely couple tied the knot outdoors underneath blue skies and fluffy clouds. The location for their dreamy I do’s was the charming setting of Hyde Barn in the Cotswolds. Soft pink hues added to the rustic prettiness of the occasion. Alex and Mark’s romance started in high school. The friendship they have formed after all these years fills their love with laughter and fun. This was especially so on a day that was all about celebrating their love. Alex and Mark, we are so excited about what your future together may bring. With such a great friendship a love such as yours is bound to flourish without parallel. We wish you all the best as you start this next great adventure together!
Alex’s fabulous Mum and Bridesmaids made sure they were ready well ahead of time so they could focus all their attention on helping her get ready to walk down the aisle. Needless to say the morning was fun, very relaxed and allowed our gorgeous Bride to shine in the moment!
Alex’s bridal look was stylish with a sophisticated high bun to suit her elegant dress design. The effect was flawless drawing attention to the classic lines and exquisite detailing on the back of the dress.
Our gorgeous Bride meshed modern and classic to perfection. A simple bouquet of blush pink roses completed the look.
With plenty of time to spare Alex and the girls could crack open the bubbly and enjoy the moment as the time to say I do drew nearer!
Mark and all the boys opted for tailored suits and sharp ties. The result was laidback yet dashing, which suited the relaxed banter that permeated the atmosphere!
We loved the contemporary pastels of the Fosse Manor Hotel, Hyde Barn’s exclusive neighbouring accommodation, where all our couple’s guests would be spending the night. It was also a great place for the guys to hang out before heading to the ceremony setting over at the Barn.
The outdoor ceremony, surrounded by fields and trees, was too pretty for words. When Alex finally stepped out onto the pale blue runner her beauty made everything else fade in comparison.
It was impossible for Alex and Mark to hide their happiness after they exchanged their vows with so many of their friends and family there to witness. We stole away for twenty minutes of photos before our couple rejoined their guests.
We knew from our great time together on their woodland engagement session that time spent with Alex and Mark would always be a delight!
The creamy Hyde Barn interiors were accented with soft pink hydrangeas and styling inspired by nature…perfect for the rustic feel of this romantic Cotswold barn wedding.
Following two delicious courses and their yummy dessert entertaining speeches had everyone in stitches…
After speeches as the band was setting up to kick off the evening celebrations the golden light that promised to close the day had finally arrived. For our second twenty minute portrait session with Alex and Mark we made the most of this coveted golden hour.
Not only was the early evening light simply beautiful for photos. Our couple also got the opportunity to enjoy a few quiet moments taking in the breathtaking Cotswold vistas.
As we returned from portraits evening guests were just arriving, the band was ready to play and Alex and Mark’s first dance would start the party for an evening of celebration. Congratulations Alex and Mark, your day was just perfect and we had a blast being there to capture it for you!
