Alex and Mark chose to have their engagement session in the seclusion and peacefulness of Bagley Woods near Oxford. These woodlands have been a special place for our couple since their teenage years. These days they often take their adorable spaniel Colin for walks amidst the treelined canopies. He loves nothing better than running around to his hearts content as he chases his favourite ball. It was really lovely to spend time with Alex, Mark and Colin in a setting they have such a strong connection with and where they clearly felt at ease. As we traversed the footpaths our couple retold fond memories they both had shared here such as the time they had built a very precarious tree swing with friends and they had to dare each other to try it. As we walked we had a very clear destination in mind. Our couple have a tree, their tree. That we were here on this particular day for their engagement session was certainly written in the stars. Our couple noted with surprise and delight that their tree still stood. Most unbelievable the date etched into the bark showed it was exactly 7 years since Alex and Mark had engraved their initials. Full of reminders of their relationship it was the perfect place to capture this gorgeous couple and their dog.
