Fiona and Ted said I do with a beautiful Church ceremony and an atmospheric winter wedding reception at the Tythe Barn in Oxfordshire this November. At its essence a wedding is about two soulmates promising to spend forever with each other. This day was about Fiona and Ted and their love for one another, however family and friends proved that the people you celebrate with is what gives a wedding day heart and makes it meaningful. It was so touching to see everyone present do their utmost to make the day perfect for our couple. Fiona and Ted you inspire others to do better, to be better. Seeing how invested everyone was in being their for you both was wonderful to witness. We wish you the best as you take on future adventures as husband and wife!
Fiona prepared for the wedding in the charming surrounds of Poundon House. The setting was just marvellous as it could accommodate family and friends for the weekend so everyone could be together for the occasion.
Fiona’s Bridesmaids were simply a treat! These gorgeous ladies were all about being there for their best friend on her wedding day.
This included plenty of ooh’s and ah’s from the girls in admiration and excitement for our Bride, champagne bottles being popped with vigour and lending a helping hand wherever needed!
Fiona had a stellar beauty team who made sure her and the girls were perfectly primped and on time too, our thanks and appreciation to Anne Veck and Antonia Krieger!
Poised and graceful…Fiona’s beauty shines in those moments in between moments.
Then just as you thought Fiona couldn’t possible be more beautiful she breaks into a smile and you simply can’t help smiling with her!
Our beautiful Bride in her diaphanous Shanna Melville wedding dress and the romantic surroundings of Poundon House were a perfect match.
The story of a wedding is told in the smallest of details…a light spray of perfume as a final touch or a bouquet tied together in a beautiful bow.
We loved the colour combination Fiona chose for her Tythe Barn Oxford wedding. Joanna Carter Contemporary Flowers completely nailed the brief, her florals complementing the Bridesmaids’ in hues of dusky pink, aubergine and french lilac.
A vintage chair, a pretty painting, a dreamy bouquet and a gorgeous Bride…yes please!
One of our fave moments, every time! When a father sees his beautiful daughter in her wedding dress…
Thanks to our Bride’s amazing organisational skills and the dedication from everyone to keep to timings, the morning allowed the girls’ plenty of time to enjoy the process of getting ready and time for fabulous photos too!
From Poundon House Fiona and her father set off in a vintage Rolls to get to the village Church in Launton where Ted would be waiting.
Ever the gentlemen Ted’s Groomsmen who had been welcoming guests were waiting with brollies for the girls!
All the excitement and months of planning culminated in the moment Fiona and Ted had most been anticipating, seeing each other and joining hands at the top of the aisle!
Fiona’s Father proudly gave her hand in marriage to Ted as they prepared to exchange their vows.
Rings, vows and a first kiss as husband and wife were exchanged…
Then, led by Ted’s brother playing the bagpipes, Fiona and Ted’s exited the Church through a magnificent floral arch and confetti embraced them as they passed by their cheering family and friends.
We arrived at the Tythe Barn for the reception and the weather joined in the day’s jubilation, giving us a brief respite for some portraits outdoors before the early winter sunset and rain ensued.
Fiona and Ted, your happiness and love was just too darn beautiful to witness!
The Barn interior looked simply spectacular for Fiona and Ted’s Tythe Barn Oxford winter wedding reception!
Festoons of fairy lights and suspended floral orbs by Joanna Carter Contemporary Flowers looked atmospheric and oh so pretty!
A 5 tier cake and an abundance of floral displays throughout the Barn added just a touch of glamour to the relaxed and rustic setting.
As the winter sun disappeared the party really started. Fabulous food and merriment unfolded underneath a canopy of twinkling lights and flickering candles…
Our heartfelt congratulations once more to Fiona and Ted, we just loved photographing your wedding day for you. We wish you a lifetime of beautiful memories together!
