Over the summer we were commissioned to photograph a brand new luxury country house wedding venue in South London. Morden Hall has all the charms of a countryside setting yet its city location makes it a rather exclusive London wedding venue. We were delighted to collaborate with a stellar creative team, including Pocketful of Dreams and Simon Nickell Design, on this shoot. The results were modern with a dash of pretty and a sprinkle of romance… the perfect setting for London couples who want the feel of the country on their wedding day but with a contemporary twist and a London postcode!
Aside from the beautiful period architecture what makes Morden Hall so special is the surrounding acres of National Trust parkland.
Picturesque gardens, a lakeside setting and wading birds all add to natural splendour of Morden Hall’s setting.
Pocketful of Dreams was at the helm of this project. We always love working with Michelle as she is not afraid to push the envelope to create something totally stunning and unique for her clients.
Blush paper poms by Pom Pom Blossom and a breathtaking cake by Olofson Design created a feminine cake scape that was dreamy and oh so pretty…
Simon Nickell Design always makes our weddings look gorgeous and this shoot was no exception! From floralising the stunning Morden Hall stairs to prettifying every nook and corner…generous arrangements of hydrangeas, roses and varied foliage created a super luxe feel throughout.
One of things we adore about Morden Hall is how period charm sits so comfortably alongside light and airy contemporary spaces.
Subtle detailing such as lightly textured linens and layers of silver and grey created an understated luxurious feel that complemented the reception space.
Talented stylists like Pocketful of Dreams know that to create a look like this it’s all in the detail…Classic Montaigne chairs in white from Options Hire again blended elegance and simplicity.
The Mulberry room with its high vaulted ceiling is a truly spectacular space for a wedding reception. The tasteful styling of the room gives couples the prettiest blank canvas from which to start the design process for their individual style.
We loved getting to know Morden Hall and have fallen in love with its gorgeous interiors and exteriors. We can’t wait to photograph our first wedding here next summer!
