“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” L.M. Montgomery in Anne of Green Gables
When Montgomery wrote these words she must have been envisioning a day like the one when Liz and James said I do. Crisp golden air drawing out the warmth of the leaves and blue skies so brilliantly clear. Their wedding fell on a perfect October day in the Cotswolds exactly such as this. With the grey, wet and wintery weather that had preceded, it was as if even the elements had been saving their very best for our couple’s big day. Family and friends joined Liz and James to celebrate there long awaited nuptials. After many years together their wedding was an occasion that had been reserved to unfold joyously when the time was just right. Liz and James it was a true honour to capture your love and happiness on this special day. We wish you many more beautiful years of adventure together as you continue to navigate life from exactly where you’re meant to be…by each other’s side!
With the wedding celebrations over the road at the Slaughter Country Inn, Liz chose to get ready in one of the beautiful rooms at Lower Slaughter Manor right next door to the Lower Slaughter village Church.
An engagement ring befitting a relationship spanning more than a decade and shoes to dance the night away!
A romantic blush palette by The Broadway Florist proved that Autumn wedding flowers can definitely be pink.
Liz is an interior designer so unsurprisingly has impeccable taste. She chose the most glamourous Karen Willis Holmes wedding dress that she paired with details that were sparkly and oh so feminine.
Liz spent the morning getting ready with all the special women in her life…her sisters, mother, friend and nieces!
Style runs in the family…we sure know where Liz’s adorable nieces get theirs from!
With his beautiful wife, daughters and granddaughters all around him of course Liz’s Father was bursting with pride!
We love photographing the morning of a wedding. This precious time our Bride spends with those dearest to her is filled with love and excitement…
As Liz prepared to walk to the Church our Groom was eagerly awaiting his Bride’s arrival… The boys had spent the morning at the Slaughters Country Inn where our couple would celebrate their wedding reception after the ceremony.
Happiness is not enough to describe the moments that follow…they are so much more than words can express, emotions only photographs can capture completely.
From a candlelit Church…
To the First Kiss as husband and wife…
To the elation of sharing the moment with all those who love you dearly…
There is nothing like confetti to congratulate the happy couple after they’ve said I do!
Before Liz and James joined their wedding guests for champagne across the road at the Slaughters Country Inn we took a scenic walk through the village of Lower Slaughter for their wedding portraits.
Liz and James seeing how happy you make one another when you’re together is too lovely…we had a great time documenting your love for one another in this beautiful setting and this perfect Autumn day!
After their wedding portraits and family group photos the rest of the day was for celebrating! This was done with great food, exquisite company, heartfelt words and a fabulous party into the night at the picture perfect setting of the Slaughters Country Inn!
