When we get the announcement from Queensberry saying that one our couple’s wedding albums has left the faraway shores of New Zealand and is making its way to our small island I have two reactions. Firstly I feel excited, filled with anticipation to see this beautiful book that is about to become a family heirloom for our Bride and Groom. Secondly I feel a subtle sadness that our journey with this couple that has often spanned 12 months or more during one of their most memorable life moments is coming to its close.
With Emma & Neil it was no different. We met them a few years ago now and since then it has been a series of exciting meetings as we got to know them and prepared to document their big day. From their engagement shoot in Bristol where they showed us the city where so much of their shared history is set to the our pre-wedding consultation where we found out about all they had planned for their Coombe Lodge wedding in Somerset. Then there was the main event itself where all the planning unfolded in one magical day.
One of the things I love most about what we do apart from the physical taking of photographs is getting to know the people whose love we get to document. On Emma & Neil’s day their love and happiness shone abundantly and it was beautiful to capture. Their family and friends shined in its presence and I’ll never forget how proud all four parents were throughout the day. To do these memories justice Emma & Neil chose a beautiful flushmount Queensberry wedding album for their wedding photographs. For the cover a buttery soft micro leather cover in creamy eggshell and an accented motif personalised with their names and wedding date gives a very elegant finish. Talking about which, I am grateful that our ties in fact never quite end here! We look forward to keeping in touch and hearing about the many new adventures Emma & Neil will be embarking on in their lives together, starting with their extended honeymoon traveling through Europe over the summer.
