There is no better loved holiday in huge need of a style revamp than the celebration of St Valentine’s Day. Move aside plastic hearts, flailing cupids and roses in rouge! Instead make way for playful, inspired by nature and very pretty all new Valentine’s Day wedding ideas. This is exactly what our amazing team headed by Cakes by Krishanthi had in mind for our Sweet Valentine shoot. A woodland inspired backdrop to amplify an organic approach set the scene. Suspended dried heather – think gorgeous front of the aisle backdrop – created a romantic frame for the eye. Moss, bark and dried leaves provided a new kind of pretty in a muted palette made by nature. This allowed touches of pink to make an impact without any of the naff factor, perfection we think! The pièce de résistance is a tie between the hanging chandelier of twigs, candles and crystal and Krishanthi’s show stopping wedding cake. Heart flutter inducing miniature cakes influenced by the design of their bigger counterpart included rice paper wings and pink dusted hearts.
