Emily and Nick had the most beautiful The Slaughters Manor House wedding in the Cotswolds. Their celebration fell on a cool and crisp Spring day. Daring daffodils were bursting into bloom. These pops of colour nature’s own way of assuring us of the change in season. For over a year we’ve been looking forward to documenting Emily and Nick’s big day. From our initial email correspondence to our first Skype consultation with our couple, who reside in Dubai, we knew the four of us were going to be a great fit! Emily and Nick are one of those special couples who make us extra thankful for the job we do. They are fun, confident and sweet. Emily has the most beautiful smile and laugh! Nick is always making sure everyone is looked after and at ease. They are a perfect fit for each other. Even though it was their special day, Emily and Nick planned their wedding so that everyone who could be there with them would have the best time too. Emily and Nick, with a love like yours and hearts so big, we are sure there are nothing but good things in store for the years ahead!
It was lovely spending part of the morning with Nick and his groomsmen. A whiskey or two was poured, ties were expertly knotted and the perfect position of buttonholes light heartedly debated.
Nick’s Hèrmes tie was playfully stylish and went perfectly with his bespoke blue suit he had tailored in Dubai.
After taking a few portraits of our dashing groom we were ready to leave the guys to relax and prepare to welcome guests while we joined Emily…
But first we had to try out the swish new circular bar at The Slaughters Manor House. For photos of course!
Our Bride’s favourite colour in the world is orange, so splashes of this happy colour were incorporated in all the lovely details of the day.
Emily had shown us photos of her Italian lace wedding dress during their pre-wedding shoot at Lower Slaughter a month before…
Needless to say all our expectations were met and exceeded as our beautiful Bride stepped into the dress and a pair of ivory Manolos with a touch of Dubai sparkle!
Emily threw tradition to wind by having her Bridesmaids all in white too and they looked fabulous! Especially with perfectly coiffed updos by one of our favourite hair artists Chris Fordham Hair Design.
With that amazing smile though no one could out shine our Bride…
The very talented Broadway Florist incorporated Emily’s favourite colour in an array of shades mixed with spring greens…
The girls also wore orange of course with these cute heels providing a gorgeous pop of colour against their knee high ivory Bridesmaids’ dresses.
Thoughtful signage across the venue ensured everyone knew where to go.
The restaurant of the Slaughters Manor House looked wonderful set up for the civil ceremony with arrangements by The Broadway Florist.
Finally the big moment arrived as Emily’s brother walked her arm in arm to her husband to be!
Everyone could not have been happier to see Emily and Nick ready to exchange their vows and become Mr and Mrs…
A romantic first kiss underneath the elegant chandeliers made everyone cheer!
Of course Emily’s beautiful Bridesmaids were right there in the first row to show their support.
The expressions of two soulmates who’ve just promised to spend forever together…
While our newlyweds enjoyed a cheeky glass of champagne all their guests prepared to welcome the happy couple with confetti in front of The Slaughters Manor House.
After heartfelt felicitations we spent some time taking photos of our couple with loved ones and the Manor House providing a perfect backdrop.
Then it was time for portraits and Emily and Nick to simply relax and enjoy a little part of the day with just each other.
Treasuring this time together results in beautiful moments for us to photograph…
We pick great light and give a little direction that allows our couple’s love and happiness to unfold and be captured beautifully.
Giving you the opportunity to focus on each other allows us to capture your connection in this moment…
Emily and Nick, we know we’ve said this, but you two were a treat to photograph and spend time with!
Nick is the luckiest man having that smile to wake up to for the rest of his life…
Freshly mowed lawns and rolling Cotswold countryside behind the Slaughters Manor House makes for a stunning setting to celebrate…
Before the start of the wedding breakfast Emily took the opportunity to throw her bouquet…of course the universe (and a little bit of friendship) intervened and it went directly to the rightful person!
As guests were finding their seats we took advantage of an extra five minutes to capture a portrait of Emily and Nick in the gorgeous interiors of the Manor House.
Emily and Nick had a soft and contemporary colour scheme of orange, green and grey for their countryside wedding. Luci Widdowson designed this stunning stationery suite to suit!
Statement floral displays by The Broadway Florist ensured the elegant restaurant of The Slaughters Manor House looked suitably dressed for Emily and Nick’s fabulous wedding day. Cascading amber lilies inside the glass vases were a particularly amazing touch.
During courses we snuck up to the Billiards Room of the Manor House for a second and slightly different bridal party photo!
After dinner and toasts it was time for the evening celebration, which involved the most beautiful handpainted cake by our very talented friend Cakes by Krishanthi…
Emily and Nick cut their gorgeous cake to cheers from all their loved ones…
Then it was time for the First Dance and the party to really start!
As we said goodbye to Emily & Nick the dance floor was packed and everyone was reveling in the sounds of a great live band…the best way to end a perfect day.
All our thanks to the wonderful people who made Emily and Nick’s The Slaughters Manor House wedding happen!
