Lower Slaughter Gloucestershire Engagement Session: Imogen & Richard

It is completely fitting that Imogen & Richard had their engagement shoot in what has been officially dubbed the most romantic street in England when you learn of how their relationship began. Both being musicians they first met when performing together. Their first obstacle was that Richard was in position on stage and Imogen was playing in the orchestra pit below. Ever inventive Richard made the most of the situation by using the customary bow at the end of the performance as an opportunity to take a glimpse below at the girl he had immediately been attracted to, night after night making his interest quite clear to any observing eye in the audience. Of course the show ran to a close and when there were no more stolen glances to be had they arranged their first date to be after Imogen’s performance at the opening night of a Bollywood show. Waiting for Imogen at the end of the night to take her on their first date, the excited & slightly nervous Richard was spotted by an Asian TV reporter as an unusual spectator for a Bollywood spectacle. Asked why he was there Richard declared on live television that he was there waiting for the girl of his dreams. We loved getting to know Imogen & Richard during the shoot and we can’t wait for their upcoming wedding at Washbourne Court.

As the sun sets on the final day of 2025, we find ourselves looking back in deep gratitude on such a special year. The finish line is always a poignant time to take stock and reflect.

This year we photographed the most unforgettable celebrations alongside the wedding industry’s finest suppliers. We got to know the greatest couples on the planet and made memories alongside friends old and new. Thank you to all the people who made 2025 a truly magical year for us behind the lens.

Personally, we celebrated 20 years together (and 15 of those years as wedding photographers!) which was an epic celebration in itself.

In the wake of such a beautiful year, we are excited for 2026 and all the milestones we are already set to be part of. Happy New Year one & all, N&G xxx
