Hare & Hounds Tetbury Wedding: Ashley & Sean
Ashley & Sean’s Hare & Hounds Tetbury Wedding was a relaxed, happy and beautiful occasion. The setting was stylish yet laid back and even allowed for their golden Labrador Sam to share in the proceedings. Ashley’s wedding design style had a whimsical feel with a butterfly motif playfully entwined alongside a blue and yellow colour scheme. Bridesmaids in custom made yellow dresses, the boys looking dapper in their blue suits and Ashley uniting both colours in her wild and unbound bouquet. A gorgeous couple and lovely day matched by the beauty of the occasion itself of two people joining in matrimony.
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair…this line from a well known song echoed in my mind as I started to write this post. It simply defines the kind of abundance that comes from happiness, love and the sweet but simple things in life. Witnessing the love between Ashley & Sean on their wedding day reminded me of this. The pride the father of the bride exuded as he walked his daughter down the isle. Friends and family supporting them and cheering them on, some who had travelled very far to be there on the day. Sean’s face as he saw his gorgeous bride, with flowers in her hair, walking towards him to become his wife. The happiness as they exchanged their vows with their son Jaden as their pageboy. The joy of that moment was palpable and sweet.
Ashley looked amazing with her hair adorned with flowers and worn down and lightly tousled. Apart from the floral detailing on her dress and a few select pieces of jewellery Ashley kept the rest of her look paired back, enhancing her relaxed and romantic style.
Sean and the boys looked sharp in their blue suits with yellow pocket squares and boutonnieres adding an elegant touch. We loved photographing Sean at the Hare & Hounds Hotel with the handsome interiors creating a fantastic setting for the Groom portraits.
The weather threw all it could at us that day with downpours before the ceremony turning into a sun-soaked afternoon during the reception. Rain & sun each provide their own set of challenges for photography. We love getting creative to work successfully in these opposing conditions as they often lead to great moments and dynamic images. Below is one of our favourite photographs from the day taken as Ashley was navigating her way to the ceremony with her father & chauffeur both providing much needed cover from the rain! On the other side of the camera I’m holding an umbrella over Glen while he’s focusing on capturing the moment!
Completely dry and marrying her soulmate we love the happiness captured in this moment as Ashley & Sean exchange their vows.
The emotional high following the ceremony leads to beautifully emotive moments during the Bride & Groom portraits. These photographs capture something of the feeling to be preserved and looked back on after the wedding day has passed.
There are always two sides to the speeches – the person saying the words and the listener reacting to what they hear. Ashley hugging her dad after his speech conveys an instant in the vast range of the emotions felt on the day. Sean & Ashley nearly in tears of laughter complete the story of what was said during the Best Mans’ speech. Together these images speak of so much.
Our final portrait session in the early evening led us to enjoying the amazing golden light as the sun was sinking lower in the sky, a beautiful way to end such a lovely day.
