There is a lovely Italian wedding saying “Sposa Bagnata, Sposa Fortunata”, which literally means “Wet Bride, Lucky Bride”! As with so many others things such as food, wine and art the Italians really got it right with this saying and I can’t help but be reminded of Fay & Gary’s beautiful Cheshire wedding when I heard this for the first time. Held at the romantic tudor style Wild Boar Hotel, Fay & Gary’s wedding radiated with such happiness that no amount of rain could dampen. In fact it rained the entire day and throughout the atmosphere was fantastic! There was tons of excitement at the start of the day as the bride & groom preparations got underway. The excitement turned into a ceremony room bursting with heartfelt emotion as friends & family witnessed two people they deeply care for join in matrimony. The occasion was then celebrated for the rest of the day as everyone shared their stories, well wishes & enthusiasm for the occasion. This created the most amazing wedding that was truly special to be a part of. With the bond between this gorgeous couple so apparent and with the support of so many people behind them, Fay & Gary have a very happy future ahead! Fay’s looked absolutely radiant on the day in her custom made wedding gown, with details personalised by Fay herself. Her stunning jewellery was a gift from Gary on the day and was the perfect touch! Fay’s hair and make-up was beautifully done by the bride herself.
All the flowers for the day, except for the bridesmaids’ bouquets that were done by the very talented bride, were by Mirage Flowers & Events and picked up on the blue colour scheme of the wedding. This vibrant royal blue was beautifully picked up in the fabulous full length Evica bridesmaids’ dresses, the floral details on the wedding cake, the rustic wooden roses & edible treats as guest favours and the reception details. There were plenty of gorgeous DIY wedding details on the day such as the table decor, the table plan and menus, a personalised postbox for cards from all their guests and all the stationery for the day.
Gary made a very dapper groom in his grey sharkskin contemporary Edward suit. A stylish watch that was a gift from Fay on the morning of their wedding made the perfect accessory. The groomsmen wore navy blue cravats, which looked great and picked up on the colour scheme for the day.
The magnificent tudor style Wild Boar Hotel made for a fantastic rainy day wedding venue and with the lush gardens we were even able to sneak out with the umbrellas for some fabulous outside bride & groom portraits.
Fay & Gary enjoyed an incredible honeymoon in Mexico, a fitting destination for this well travelled couple who together have traversed across many countries including Australia together. We loved being part of Fay & Gary’s beautiful & incredibly happy wedding day, it was wonderful to witness such warmth & love and capturing all these heartfelt moments for them to enjoy for years to come!
