In our wedding tips for brides guide to beautiful bridal portraits we reveal some of the secrets to achieving stunning bridal photography. Every bride wants to look beautiful on her wedding day. In expectation much of the wedding preparation is in planning and creating THE bridal look that your husband sees for the first time on your wedding day. The perfect look is about the impact that this moment will have and then carrying across your individuality and style for the rest of the day. Our brides definitely want the beauty, individuality & emotion of their wedding captured in their bridal portraits.
Our Top 5 Wedding Tips for Brides for Beautiful Bridal Portraits:
-
Be Prepared: Chat with your photographer before the big day about what you want from your photography and together make a plan to achieve this. Allow plenty of time for yourself to get ready and your photographer to take some gorgeous photographs. We work quickly but still need you ready in time for us to take your bridal portraits before we need to go to the ceremony location. We always recommend our brides choose a location with plenty of natural light to get ready at. Although we can work in any conditions, this factor allows us to create the type of imagery our clients love us for.
-
Make-Up & Hair: We spend a lot of time in post production making our images and brides look their best. We can always tell the difference when a bride has invested in a professional make-up and hair artist. Skin is flawless and the bride’s hairstyle holds for the entire day, well at least till the evening depending on how lively the party gets, and is also one less thing for you to worry about on the day!
-
Posture: A good posture is key to achieving stunning portraits! A little bit of direction from us during your bridal photography, including making sure you don’t slouch, will help you to accentuate all the best bits and minimise any less than perfect areas. Good posture is definitely a good tip to remember throughout the day as it will help you look great during the other key moments you are being photographed where we can’t remind you, such as the ceremony and speeches.
-
Be Generous: When planning your day always have a contingency especially when it comes to timings. If you are using a make-up and hair artist have a trial before your wedding day to make sure everyone’s on the same page and so you know how long they will take. Always allow an extra half an hour just in case! With everything going on during the morning preparations, things usually take a little longer than anticipated but if you have factored this in you can stay relaxed and still have time for the photos you want. A relaxed bride makes for a more natural and relaxed photograph too!
-
The Photographer: You look stunning. All the elements; the happiness as you are marrying the love of your life surrounded by those closest to you, your hair and make-up just stunning and finally you in that dress, have all come together to create perfection! The photos from your day is all you will have to remember everything by, including how you looked and felt on the day. Invest as much as you can in your photographer to make sure the photographs do your memories justice and then some! We want to capture the most exquisite portraits of you that takes your husband’s breath aways and will always remind you of how you felt at that moment.
