When myself and Nicola were living in Cape Town we regularly used to go to Rhodes Memorial on Table Mountain for a walk and a coffee, it was a magnificent place to relax and take in the city. Cecil John Rhodes for whom it had been erected had a very controversial & colourful life. Upon his death he left the greater part of his fortune to establish the Rhodes Scholarship with the aim to provide education to future leaders from the commonwealth countries.
Who knew that upon my return to Oxford I would come across Rhodes house, an equally magnificent venue in the heart of Oxford built in 1928 to provide a headquarters for the the Rhodes trust and its Oxford based scholars. Rhodes House has just opened its doors as an Oxfordshire wedding venue and now is fully licensed to hold ceremonies and receptions at the venue. As on of their recommended photographers for wedding at Rhodes House in Oxford we were asked to provide them with some wedding photography to launch the wedding venue side to their business. So alongside some great Oxford wedding suppliers we spent a day putting on a styled shoot at Rhodes House.
The exquisite wedding dresses were provided by Katherine Allen bridal boutique of Banbury, make-up and hair was by M.A.C.H., flowers were provided by the fantastic team of Gary and Matthew at Fabulous Flowers and of course we provided the photography.
