Every now and then Nicki and I take a drive to find somewhere new around Oxfordshire or the surrounding counties. We then usually park up and take a walk and if we are honest this usually ends up in finding a local watering hole in which to quench our thirst. It was on one of these journeys that we ended up in the quaint Oxfordshire village of Brightwell Baldwin it was so picturesque after a very short time we looked at each other and said “we have got to do a shoot here”.
It was not long before we were talking to Heidi and Andrew about their engagement session and here is the email I got from Heidi. For our photo session we were thinking something relaxed and fun. A bit playful and fun. maybe at a park? with active fun shots, then some more classic ones with coloured/textured backdrops! what would you suggest? Mmmmm Now let me think.
The session was just as they wanted with some beautiful landscapes and features to use although Heidi and Andrew are such a fantastic couple to photograph we could have taken great photos of them anywhere. It was also lovely to finish off with a glass of something cold at the village inn The Lord Nelson and chat more about their wedding day. Heidi & Andrew share a very special connection which is evident in how they make decisions, when choosing the photograph they wanted to use for their wedding invitations they both knew exactly what they were looking for as a couple and picked a lovely image that really typifies their relationship.
Nicki and I are really looking forward to photographing Heidi and Andrews wedding at Eynsham Hall in September.
