Lower Slaughter Manor Engagement Session: Amy & Ian

For Amy and Ian’s pre-wedding shoot we met this stylish couple at Lower Slaughter Manor in Gloucestershire. A charming English manor house in a quintessential Cotswold setting and also  the wedding venue where Amy and Ian will be getting married later this summer. We started their Lower Slaughter Manor engagement session with a relaxed meander alongside the river that runs through the village, before heading to the equally picturesque but less explored nooks and crannies of Lower Slaughter Manor’s gardens, saving the main vistas for the big day.

Amy and Ian were so lovely to get to know. They easily relaxed into the shoot, especially with plenty of light hearted cajoling from Amy. Their warmth and exuberance made us feel instantly welcome and it was really great to be able to connect with them behind and in front of the cameras. Family is super important to them both and it was such a treat meeting their youngest, the very dashing Felix. We can’t wait to meet the rest of their family and friends who will all be spending the weekend together at this lovely setting for Amy and Ian’s upcoming wedding celebrations.

As the sun sets on the final day of 2025, we find ourselves looking back in deep gratitude on such a special year. The finish line is always a poignant time to take stock and reflect.

This year we photographed the most unforgettable celebrations alongside the wedding industry’s finest suppliers. We got to know the greatest couples on the planet and made memories alongside friends old and new. Thank you to all the people who made 2025 a truly magical year for us behind the lens.

Personally, we celebrated 20 years together (and 15 of those years as wedding photographers!) which was an epic celebration in itself.

In the wake of such a beautiful year, we are excited for 2026 and all the milestones we are already set to be part of. Happy New Year one & all, N&G xxx
