Simon and Beth are both ultra competitive and their enthusiasm for games and sports is a big part of their relationship. It certainly rings true for this pair that a bit of healthy competition can be a good thing! In light of this Simon and Beth decided to incorporate a bit of light hearted sportsmanship into their engagement session with a round of croquet. One thing that stood out as they contended for the winning shot, apart from their obvious aptitude for the game, was how Simon and Beth encouraged one another as they played. For them it wasn’t so much about first place, but bringing out the best in one another and applauding each other’s victories. To have a partnership where you can enjoy each other’s success as much, if not more, than your own is a special kind of love certainly worth celebrating. This is exactly what Simon and Beth will be doing this summer with their Cotswold wedding at Lords of the Manor in Upper Slaughter, lawn games included!
Alongside croquet we spent a really great afternoon with them exploring the stunning gardens and grounds of their parents’ home in the Cotswolds for their pre-wedding shoot. Beth’s mother is extraordinarily green fingered and on this Spring day her garden was abloom with the most beautiful plants and flowers. Amongst the striking botanical specimens, old stone walls, ponds, bridges and statues we documented Simon and Beth’s relationship. We are very much looking forward to photographing their upcoming nuptials!
