As many of you may know Nicola is from South Africa so when we were asked to document Bertus & Marene’s wedding in Johannesburg last December we were over the moon! We were so happy that we would be part of this awesome couple’s wedding day and that we had the opportunity to photograph our first wedding together as destination wedding photographers in South Africa! Their wedding at Oakfield Farm near Muldersdrift was breathtaking and definitely one of our highlights of 2013. Marene put all her efforts into creating a day that was relaxed, beautiful and romantic. So many of the special touches were handmade or personally commissioned by our Bride and every detail meant something to our Bride and Groom. The standout piece was the gorgeous memory table created by Marene, which featured the old wedding photos of all four sets of grandparents, and created the exquisite backdrop from which they would cut their wedding cake.
Bertus & Marene’s wedding was utterly stunning and we were thrilled when we found out that one of our favourite national bridal publications, Wedding Magazine, wanted to feature the wedding in their June/July 2014 summer edition. Wedding Magazine is all about showcasing contemporary and beautiful wedding inspiration. They carefully handpick each of the select 36 real weddings published each year in their pretty pages so it is a huge honour to have our work and this wedding featured. Thank you to Bertus & Marene for asking us to be their wedding photographers and thank you to Wedding Magazine for this fabulous feature – it totally captures the spirit of the day and we adore it!!!
