September’s photo of the month is actually a series of 3 images taken on a recent engagement photography shoot with one of our lovely couples. You can see their actual wedding day HERE. These 3 images really show what engagement photography shoots are about for us and our couples. Our experience has told us that engagement sessions are beneficial for lots of reasons but especially the following:
- You get to know us and how we will photograph your wedding day,
- We get to know you and how you photograph so we can make sure we get the most beautiful images for you both on the wedding day itself,
- You get some relaxed, natural and at the same time high quality photographs of the two of you dressed in a more everyday way than your wedding attire.
The three images above really speak to us about what we achieve on engagement photography sessions. The couple are relaxed, they are having fun but the images are also very contemporary and stylish and are reflective of what we will take on the wedding day itself. They also have a narrative that is entwined between the three images to create a sense of story that anyone viewing the images can relate too.
We have also found that our couples love to bring their own personality into the engagement shoots whether that be with some stylish clothing, a location that means something to them or including an activity or pass time that they enjoy doing together. This aspect makes every engagement session personal to the couple themselves and the images uniquely theirs.
