From our very first conversations with Ella and Roman about their engagement session our couple knew they wanted the location to be somewhere very special to them. They decided on a Cornwall beach engagement session. The sea is somewhere these adventure seekers both adore and no coastal location more so than the wild and breathtaking Cornish coastline. The original plan was to head to the Beach early evening and finish the shoot watching the sunset beside a bonfire on the beach. As we made our way to Trebarwith Strand on the beautiful North Cornish coast dark clouds were rolling in from the horizon. The closer we came to the coast the more obvious it became that with the rain showing no sign of abating we were going to have to be a bit creative with our original idea. On arrival the boys soon discovered that at the very end of the beach lay a gigantic cave carved into the rock face. An ideal spot for the shoot, however we just had to get there! Umbrellas aloft, cameras under jackets and shoes and equipment in hand the four of us waded through knee high water and rain until we reached the caves. To say we were all on a high when we arrived would be an understatement. We love that Ella and Roman threw caution to the wind to create something special out of a challenging situation. The light, backdrop and our gorgeous couple all combined to create something magical. After making our way back for dinner at the seaside pub we even had our sunset, unplanned and perfect! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ella and Roman, this engagement session is one we will always remember and look back on with fondness and pride. We can’t wait to document your wedding day in a few weeks’ time!
