Our first wedding of the year could not have been more beautiful than Susie and Paul’s gorgeous Calcot Manor winter wedding! A week after the new year these two had exclusive use of this stunning Manor house. This meant friends and family could join them for a weekend of celebrations in the Cotswolds. Susie and Paul’s primary aim for their wedding was to have a wedding day that they would enjoy and look back on with fondness for years to come. This included choosing a location that was special to them. The Cotswolds has always meant a great deal to Susie and Paul’s relationship. Calcot Manor was where they spent their first weekend away as a couple. Barnsley House is where Paul asked Susie to marry him in a romantic surprise proposal in the candlelit garden temple. We knew their wedding day would be equally meaningful and eloquent. Congratulations Susie and Paul, we loved being part of your stylish celebrations and we wish you a lifetime of happiness together being married to your soulmate!
Paul spent the morning getting ready with his son Aidan, his brother and best friends.
Paul looked dashing in a bespoke three piece Thom Sweeney suit and a racing green tie that reflected our Groom’s Irish heritage.
The bond between father and son was lovely to witness and photograph.
It was hard to tell who was more proud, Paul or Aidan!
Right next door Susie and the girls were busy getting ready too.
Glamorous heels and a wild bouquet of green and white florals by Flowers by Passion created just the right mix of country and chic!
Susie wore a sophisticated design by London bridal designer Charlie Brear. Joe from Rush London and Jodie from the Calcot Manor Spa team completed our Bride’s look with a classic updo and natural beauty look.
An embellished sash provided a vintage touch whilst keeping with the minimal elegance of the look.
Our Bride looked absolutely sensational moments away from walking down the aisle…I mean seriously wow!
A fur shrug was the perfect touch to keep the January cold at bay.
Susie’s Bridesmaids looked equally fabulous in dove grey Vera Wang floor length gowns!
The prettiest hint of pink was incorporated into the Bridesmaids’ bouquets by Flowers by Passion to subtly differentiate these gorgeous designs.
As the ceremony approached we made our way to the Barn at Calcot Manor.
Susie and Paul’s happiness as they met at the front of the aisle just blew everyone away…
We adored the emotiveness of the moment as our Bride was given away and our couple prepared to exchange their vows.
During the ceremony Susie and Paul’s close friends Charlie and Jinder performed a few songs to the delights of all the guests.
A perfect, romantic First Kiss made the I do’s unofficially official…
Followed by a joyous walk down the aisle as husband and wife!
With the January the light quickly fading we stole Susie and Paul away for twenty minutes of photos while their guests relocated to the Hotel’s conservatory for drinks and canapes.
Calcot Manor has the most beautiful interiors, which we took full advantage of on this rainy January day.
Before Susie and Paul’s rejoined their guests we also took a handful of classic formal photos of our couple’s family and their stylish Bridal Party.
While everyone enjoyed the drinks reception the fabulous Calcot Manor team were busy transforming the Barn for the evening reception.
A backdrop of twinkling fairy lights, draped linen and a canopy of painted branches and foliage created a spectacular setting for the candlelit evening dinner.
Poignant speeches and delicious food were the highlights during the Wedding Breakfast in the Barn.
How we love that our Bride and Groom had their own champagne bottled especially for the day!
After the final toast our couple and their guests moved back to the main hotel for the serious partying about to commence.
Susie and Paul pulled off an excellent First Dance.
Their impressive moves inevitably led to everyone joining them on the dancefloor after much cheering and admiration.
As we said our goodbyes we knew Susie and Paul still had an amazing night ahead. They continued to celebrate their Calcot Manor winter wedding with live music and sweet revelry!
Our appreciation to the fabulous team of wedding artists who made Susie & Paul’s Calcot Manor winter wedding happen:
