For this months wedding photograph of the month, we are going to focus on a particular part of our wedding photography as opposed to one singular image.
Black and White Wedding Photography.
Black and white wedding photography has always been a beautiful way in which we have chosen to show our work. A black and white photograph has the ability to convey a mood and give a sense of atmosphere and timelessness that the colour counterpart sometimes cannot. There are also times on the wedding day when black and white wedding photography can eliminate unnecessary distractions in an image. An example of this is during a ceremony when the focus quite rightly should be on the couple themselves who are taking their vows. However if some of the congregation have chosen to wear bright colours on the day you can find your eye being drawn towards these people within the photograph. Turning these images into a crisp black & white keeps the viewers attention right where it should be, on the couple themselves.
Other parts of the wedding day also lend themselves to black and white wedding photography, such as the speeches and very often the bride & groom preparations. Where our style of black and white wedding photographs give a classic but contemporary look to the guys and girls as they prepare for the day.
We have also found that most importantly our clients love black and white wedding photographs as for them they feel it really captures their wedding day and the feeling that was present on the day itself. Of course with all our black and white images you also get to see the colour counterpart as well, this way you can make your own choice about which option you prefer.
Photography like all mediums of art go through trends but keeping things simple and choosing a photographer for your wedding that offers classic high quality black and white and colour images means that your wedding photographs will always look sophisticated and timeless.
