Georgina and Richard’s winter wedding in Berkshire was filled with two of our favourite elements to photograph in a wedding, heartfelt emotion and elegance. Having got to know them both on their engagement session in Reading over the summer we already knew the incredible connection shared between this couple. This bond was so clear on their wedding day and Georgina and Richard’s wedding really was the union of two perfectly matched individuals who just wanted to spend the rest of their lives with each other. We loved capturing their day for them and we wish them all the happiness for their future together.
We started the day at the Forbury Hotel, radiating grandeur this luxury Reading wedding venue was a fabulous location for Georgina to get ready for the ceremony. Georgina looked classically beautiful with hair and make-up by the talented Georgina Heron and her bridal flowers by Ashley Blooms in Caversham.
As an RAF wedding photographer we love the details and traditions military weddings have. Richard made an impressive sight in all his military finery and wore his uniform with justified pride.
The day was shared by friends and family and the bridal party included a few dapper looking uniforms who took charge of the running of the day. It was the vicar’s first ever wedding, adding an extra touch of excitement to the ceremony.
Georgina & Richard held their reception at the majestic Reading Town Hall. This beautiful Victorian building suited the classic style Georgina chose for the reception details. It also provided the perfect space for their winter wedding portraits as the afternoon greeted us with a relentless downpour that lasted throughout the evening.
With everyone safely tucked behind the town hall’s graceful walls and being well looked after by their dedicated events team, the celebrations lasted late into the night providing a fitting atmosphere for such a joyous occasion.
