Cotswold Weddings & Engagements – Verity & Tom

Photographing weddings takes us all over Great Britain and if we are lucky sometimes further afield. However one of our most pleasurable visits recently was to the not so far away Cotswold village of Wyckrissington to meet up with Verity and Tom. We have the pleasure of photographing their wedding in May at the lovely wedding venue of  Eynsham Hall in Oxfordshire.

People talk about their most important piece of photographic equipment. A certain type of lens, that piece of lighting equipment. Well definitely up there for me is a Tom Tom Sat Nav. Those who know me also know I can get lost in my own garden so without Nicki sat next to me and a Tom Tom telling me where to go I would often find myself aimlessly driving around for hours. When it came to finding Wyckrisssington there is no doubt in my mind without Nicki and the Tom Tom I would now be somewhere in Aberystwyth.

After a strong mug of coffee and a chat about their wedding we set out  around the village. The village is beautiful with all the Cotswold stone buildings and rolling farmland, there is even a village pond stocked full of carp! Tom works as a gamekeeper on one of the local estates and having grown up in the village we were given “roaming privileges” onto some of the farmland without the danger of a shotgun ushering us off.

Not only were Tom and Verity really relaxed and at home in this environment, they were unlike me dressed for the occasion. Verity was wearing one of the nicest pair of winter boots Nicki had ever seen.Tom quietly whispered to me when Verity and Nicki were discussing the boots. “This is going to cost you” (I think it just may Tom…) Things in the village are obviously very different to city life and when we came to a lovely Cotswold outbuilding we found the sunday papers for the whole village laid on the bench with a sign saying “please take your papers from here if you ordered them” which I loved! This building also made a great backdrop for some portraits of Verity and Tom. After a chilly but enjoyable hour or so we went back to Verity and Tom’s house and were treated to a nice hot drink and even nicer a piece of rich chocolate cake. Roll on May when this great couple tie the knot and we will be there to capture the day for them. Who knows Nicki may even have a pair of new boots!

WELCOME

As the sun sets on the final day of 2025, we find ourselves looking back in deep gratitude on such a special year. The finish line is always a poignant time to take stock and reflect.

This year we photographed the most unforgettable celebrations alongside the wedding industry’s finest suppliers. We got to know the greatest couples on the planet and made memories alongside friends old and new. Thank you to all the people who made 2025 a truly magical year for us behind the lens.

Personally, we celebrated 20 years together (and 15 of those years as wedding photographers!) which was an epic celebration in itself.

In the wake of such a beautiful year, we are excited for 2026 and all the milestones we are already set to be part of. Happy New Year one & all, N&G xxx
