We started 2012 at one of the most stunning wedding venues in England, Blenheim Palace, to photograph Rahele & Michalis’s winter wedding. The summer saw us travel all across the UK, from Wales to Manchester to photograph some incredible weddings, which really confirmed to us that wedding photography is our niche as photographers. This commitment to weddings led us to our biggest achievement of 2012, where we completely stripped back our business and rebranded to launch Weddings by Nicola & Glen. The feedback from our clients, industry professionals and friends has been overwhelmingly positive and heartfelt. We are so grateful for everyone’s support.
2013 promises to be an even better year. We kick off with a ten day trip to Egypt, where we can recharge and refocus for the wedding season ahead. We are also hoping to have our first wedding season in Cape Town, South Africa and we are very excited to have the opportunity of photographing summer weddings across both hemispheres going forward.
On a more personal note in 2012 we really feel like we’ve settled in to our new home in the Cotswolds especially with the arrival of our new addition to the family Hemingway our chocolate Burmese cat who definitely rules the roost. We have also been very fortunate to make some incredible friendships that we truly value.
We spent a wonderful Christmas in the UK in our new house, which we festively decorated and even made our own Christmas tree from branches we foraged from a nearby park, you can see pictures of it on our Noel blog post! Our big personal goal for 2013 is to transform our currently bare courtyard into a beautiful small space where we can relax and enjoy what will hopefully be sun drenched summer evenings. Any tips from our green fingered friends are welcome. We wish you all a prosperous 2013!
