We met Gemma and Matt at the beautiful setting of Lower Slaughter Manor for their engagement session. This gorgeous Cotswold Manor House is where these two will be celebrating their wedding next week. Gemma discovered this lovely setting right on their doorstep as her horses are stabled nearby. This meant she often passes by the Manor on her rides. She knew the lovely stone church right next door to this luxurious hotel would be perfect for her and Matt to say I do. Once they met the fabulous events team they knew they had found their perfect wedding venue! We had a great time getting to know Gemma and Matt on their engagement session. Gemma’s bubbly personality perfectly compliments Matt’s considered nature. Side by side you can tell that Gemma and Matt feel completely at home wherever they are when they are together. We can’t wait to capture their love and happiness next week when we return to Lower Slaughter Manor for their wedding day!
We love what Gemma and Matt wore for the shoot. White shirts tied their looks together, while Gemma’s chic stripe blazer added an individual touch. Their dressy style fitted with the manicured gardens of the Manor.
Whites and soft neutrals are also great colours to wear for fabulous skin tones as they reflect beautiful light back into your faces.
An engagement session is such a great opportunity to practise feeling comfortable with us and in front of our cameras. Gemma and Matt you were a treat to photograph and we love that you just had fun together on the shoot.
As we neared the end of our shoot with Gemma and Matt light cloud cover gave way to some pretty evening light, perfect for a few natural yet romantic portraits to complete our time together.
