As many of you will know we mostly photograph weddings in the English countryside. However once or twice a year, through the wonderful recommendation of past clients, we find ourselves unable to resist adventuring into London to capture a special celebration too. Sophie and Alex married in the very heart of the city. A place that is oh so modern yet transports you back in time. From the glamorous art deco surrounds of the Rosewood London, where Sophie got ready, we travelled into the historic area of Smithfield for the ceremony. Sophie and Alex exchanged their vows in Great St Barts, the oldest parish church in London having survived the Great Fire, Reformation and air raids from two world wars. The choir mesmerised us all with the most beautiful recital. After more music during a champagne reception in the cloisters guests made their way down the cobbled streets for dinner and dancing at the wonderfully charming french restaurant Le Café du Marché. Congratulations Sophie and Alex and thank you for inviting us to capture your beautifully atmospheric wedding in the capitol!
