It may be because as a child my mother dragged us from nursery to nursery at any given opportunity, after which my sister and I would be threatened with our lives should we harm any of the plants that created an impromptu forest around us on the back seat of her brown VW Beetle on the drive home or perhaps that as a result of these trips I grew up surrounded by the most beautiful gardens. For whatever reason, I have a slight obsession for plants and flowers and my heart melts just a little when we get to work in a setting as picturesque as Lower Slaughter Manor where Victoria and Mark celebrated their wedding.
The day started with afternoon tea where their two families could unite and get to know one another before the ceremony started. After the main event our Bride and Groom and all the guests trickled out onto the manicured lawns to enjoy champagne and decadent canapés. A traditional garden game of croquet was set up and enjoyed most by their three spirited flower girls. A multitude of blooms including the scented lavender bordering the lawns and romantic climbing roses creeping up the Cotswold stone walls of the Manor House created a perfect backdrop for Victoria and Mark’s intimate Lower Slaughter Manor wedding. Arrangements of antique hues by The Broadway Florist further captured the romance of the day. Amazing weather, fabulous florals and exquisite food combined to create a truly lovely day. Not only were our Bride and Groom and every guest looked after but their chocolate brown Labrador was also welcome to join in the weekend of celebrations. Glen and I really enjoyed documenting Victoria and Mark’s wonderful wedding and we wish our couple all the best as they start married life together!
