Weddings are occasions where new memories are made and old ones are honoured. To everyone’s delight, at their Fawsley Hall wedding, Jonathan shared the story of how he proposed to Sophie. The tale involved so many plot twists and turns that everyone was in fits of laughter and amazement at the lengths our Groom went to, to pull off his carefully thought out plan. A very stressful Saturday that included feigned illness, a miraculous recovery, a subsequent faux visit to the gym, perplexing conversations on top of already strange behaviour about Sophie’s bath time routine, and an impromptu midnight trip to take out the garbage – all so Jonathan could buy hundreds of flowers without being found out – led to the Sunday morning where as Sophie stepped out the bathroom she was met by flowers, candles and Jonathan on one knee asking her if she would spend forever with him! The resulting answer led to all the beauty you see below…
Sophie prepared for her wedding in the surrounds of Fawsley Hall in the Northamptonshire countryside.
Every detail was carefully thought out, from shimmering Jimmy Choos to the perfect wedding day scent!
Our Bride wore her hair down in slightly tousled waves that framed and emphasized her incredible eyes.
In a lace Pronovias design, with a romantic illusion back, Sophie made the most stunning Bride!
To our delight Sophie made sure her makeup and hair artists and Bridesmaids kept to the carefully planned schedule… We recommend our Brides are ready and dressed an hour before needing to leave for the ceremony.
As Sophie was ready on time we had the opportunity to capture gorgeous portraits of our beautiful Bride…and Sophie had the time to literally stop and smell the flowers, open the champagne and enjoy her wedding morning!
Our top tip for Brides wanting a wonderful wedding morning is to make sure everyone is briefed beforehand and on the same team when it comes to the getting ready timings. As Sophie’s Bridesmaids chimed “It’s for the Bride!”
We met Jonathan and his Best Man at St Marie’s RC Church in Rugby.
A beautiful ceremony unfolded in the Church that already held many memories for Sophie’s family.
After the I Do’s our couple survived a hearty welcome of rose petals!
After formal Photos at St Marie’s Church we all headed to Fawsley Hall for the wedding celebrations to begin.
We loved that the day held many personalised touches. This fabulous champagne and gold stationery suite was designed by Sophie and Jonathan themselves with the help of the Groom’s Father.
A Rolls Royce Silver Cloud brought our couple to their Fawsley Hall wedding reception in style.
Fawsley Hall provided so many spectacular locations for photos with our newlyweds.
Sophie and Jonathan also used the opportunity to have a quiet moment together and enjoy the glorious gardens.
Below is an example of the same moment captured totally differently by the two of us shooting simultaneously…
Our double trouble tactic of shooting together means we get a lovely array of portraits in a short amount of time. This allows us to get our couples back to their guests and champagne usually within half an hour.
Sophie and Jonathan’s wedding was a truly memorable affair set in the quintessential English countryside.
Sophie and Jonathan, we loved capturing your wedding with the two of you at its heart and we wish you a wonderful future together as husband and wife!
Thank you to everyone who made Sophie and Jonathan’s Fawsley Hall wedding day happen:
