“If I had a flower for every time I thought of you … I could walk through my garden forever.” ― Alfred Tennyson
The day David asked Atiya to marry him he literally led her down the garden path for a most romantic proposal. On an unsuspecting weekend visiting Atiya’s mother, at her beautiful home in the Wiltshire countryside, David suggested they go for a walk. Under the premise that it was to help Atiya train for an upcoming 100 kilometre hike no suspicions were aroused. When they however reached the Greek Pagoda, one of their favourite spots on the grounds to visit, Atiya was met with a heart melting surprise. The pagoda was covered in peonies and candles and inside she found her favourite champagne. With the scene set for something special David popped the question and of course Atiya said yes!
Our couple decided to have their engagement session at Charlton Park House where they got engaged.
A stunning location with much significance to them personally and also somewhere they feel at home.
The architecture of the house provided a striking backdrop and some shelter from the April showers.
We really enjoyed getting to know this fabulous couple on their engagement session.
We can’t wait to see Atiya and David again to photograph their Charlton Park House wedding next month!
