Calcot Manor Wedding Photographer: Araminta & Martyn

Araminta and Martyn celebrated their wedding in the Cotswolds at the fantastic Calcot Manor on Saturday on what can only be described as a perfect Autumn day. When we first met these two we had a lengthy chat about how we could achieve the best natural light photography during this time of year where daylight is in short supply, yet keep to the timings they had set for a gorgeous candlelit reception dinner. To our delight our Bride and Groom trusted our suggestion that they opt for a First Look on their wedding day. Essentially Araminta and Martyn would get to see each other before their wedding ceremony after which we would take their wedding portraits before they headed to the Church.

What unfolded for Araminta and Martyn’s First Look was simply beautiful. As planned we would meet Martyn in a secluded garden courtyard as soon as Araminta was finished with her bridal preparations. After spending the morning apart from one another nervous excitement was setting in for them both. We led Araminta to the private setting where, with his back turned, Martyn was waiting. As our Bride walked up to meet her Groom and he finally turned around bringing them face to face, all nerves vanished and happiness simply radiated from Araminta and Martyn making the moment perfectly complete. The result was not only a wonderfully emotive set of images that fully show their love on this special day, but a couple who for the rest of the day felt completely at ease and relaxed. Thank you Araminta and Martyn for expressing to us how happy you were that you decided on a First Look! We couldn’t wait to share a preview of that unforgettable moment when you finally laid eyes on one another, as well as a peak into your beautiful portraits that followed and the romantic tablescape that made for such an atmospheric setting as you celebrated the rest of the day with all your guests!
