As we made our way up the drive of the Manor House in Castle Combe on the day of Lauren and Oliver’s wedding it was impossible not to notice the two flags fluttering in the breeze. One British as to be expected at this handsome house in the Cotswold countryside. The other the star spangled banner of the United States. These I do’s were to be a classic Anglo American affair from beginning to end. Our American Bride’s home country is where they met and fell in love. However our couple always envisioned a fairytale English location to celebrate their wedding day as Oliver is British. The Manor House, a spectacular country pile set in the heart of a romantic village, was unquestionably perfect. After months of planning from abroad the day itself was simply exquisite.
Thank you once more to the lovely Jane of Planned for Perfection who did everything possible to ensure Lauren and Oliver’s day unfolded perfectly and made planning this beautiful event from abroad possible. We also extend our gratitude to the fantastic team Lauren picked who made our couple’s destination wedding happen.
Our biggest thanks are reserved for Lauren and Oliver. Thank you for trusting us to capture the day as you wanted. Thank you also for simply being yourselves with us and allowing us to document who you are as a couple. As your friends and family noted on the day, not only do you share a magnificent love but you are also the greatest of friends. This friendship is sure to see you through a lifetime of adventure together. We wish you many more moments of unforgettable joy as you navigate life side by side.
We loved Lauren’s choice of Kate Spade shoes in soft pink and her wildly romantic bouquet by Bath floral designers Flowers by Passion was sheer perfection!
Our Bride had a formidable beauty team with make-up artist Sophie Everett and hair stylist Yvonnne Del Greco from Dappa Salon.
Lauren took our breathe away in her stunning Amy Kuschel wedding dress but all our hearts simply melted when she finished the look with her cathedral Vera Wang veil that her sister wore on her own wedding day!
Radiant and surrounded by loved ones is one of the reasons the morning of a wedding is one our favourite times to capture on a wedding day!
Dad’s are the best! We love this moment when Lauren’s father made sure everything was picture perfect for his daughter before proudly walking her down the aisle.
One of the most important reasons we photograph weddings as a couple is that we can’t imagine not capturing both our Bride and Groom’s expressions when they first see each other on the wedding day, this is love.
Deckchairs out, sun shining – oh Manor House you really pulled out all the stops for Lauren and Oliver’s fairytale English wedding!!
Every detail was thought of for this wedding; bespoke linens to compliment the gorgeous floral design, sprigs of thyme for the beautiful menus and it all looked amazing! The wedding cake by Curtis & Co Cakes was even made to match the lace of Lauren’s wedding dress…
Spending time with Lauren and Oliver after the ceremony was a chance for our couple to simply soak in the day and as on their engagement session earlier this year we had a really fun time with them while capturing some beautiful portraits.
Before the cake is cut and the dancing takes our couple into the night, finishing the day with one final portrait is always a memorable way to conclude such an unforgettable day.
Thank you again to the fabulous creative team who made Lauren and Oliver’s Manor House Castle Combe wedding come to life!
