Music has a big part to play when it comes this bride & groom falling in love. The two knew each other vaguely through mutual friends but it was really when Vicki saw Dave on stage with his former band Van Diemans that an underlying chemistry was set alight. As front man of the band, Dave was in the perfect position literally to get this beautiful girl to notice him, and that’s exactly what happened!
Now a few years on, music once again played a big part in another significant moment in their relationship. Their wedding was held at the famous Bisham Abbey, on a glorious Spring day. Vicki and Dave paid homage to the impact music had on the beginnings of their romance by having a musical theme throughout the day. Their favourite bands made for the various table names and the evening reception had both a DJ and a live band to provide the perfect soundtrack to the night’s festivities, with a guest appearance from the groom himself! Their wedding was the ultimate serenade to Vicki and Dave’s relationship and we were so thankful to be there to capture the day for them.
Vicki looked stunning in Maggie Sottero’s elegent Ella wedding dress from Wedding Belles bridal boutique in Banbury. She finished off the look with an exquisite hair comb design from Ivory & Co. Vicki’s hair was done by Kelly Mullender and make-up by Laura Pusey.
Vicki chose a vibrant purple colour scheme for the day. Her gorgeous bouquet of purple orchids were by Daisy Chain floral designers in Princess Risborough. The full length dresses worn by her bridesmaids Paula and Claire were Alfred Angelo designs from The Wedding Centre in Marlow. Vicki included purple accents in all the stationery for the day which she made herself as well as in the wedding cake, which was a tower of delicious cupcakes made by the Little White Cake Company.
