“For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.” ~ Judy Garland
Anneka and Ben’s Ardington House wedding in Oxfordshire was filled with romance. Both Bride and Groom pulled out every stop to show the other the depth of their heart’s feeling. Months of planning revealed wonderful surprises and thoughtful details. Ben enjoyed an unexpected flight to the wedding and had his very own Groom’s cake made out of cheese. A feeling of adoration permeated the occasion. There was not one moment together when it was not abundantly clear that Anneka was the most important person in Ben’s world. Anneka and Ben, with a relationship infused with so much considerateness and love as yours, we have no doubt that married life will be filled with joy for you both!
All the day’s celebrations were to unfold in the stunning vicinity of Ardington House in Oxfordshire.
Thanks to his wife to be Ben and his Groomsmen arrived at Ardington House in a rather fun mode of transport.
Our Groom looked dapper in a navy Ted Baker suite and a few classic touches.
Inside the bridal suite at Ardington House Anneka’s bridal details were ready and waiting…
The moment came at last for our beautiful Bride to don her wedding dress with the help of her lovely mum!
A delicately detailed lace bolero and sweetheart neckline created a very feminine feel.
Anneka took our breath away in her floaty Caroline Castigliano bridal design…
Our Bride’s bouquet by Joanna Carter Wedding Flowers smelled divine and looked so pretty.
One of our favourite moments to capture is the reaction of the Father of the Bride!
Unsurprisingly it was a very emotive moment for this father and daughter duo…
Anneka also had her gorgeous Bridesmaids, sister and best friend, to cheer her on…
Surrounded by love and looking absolutely radiant Anneka was ready to make her way to the Church.
Ten minutes away the Lockinge village church is nestled in the most picturesque countryside.
Our Bride arrived in style driven in a silver vintage Bentley!
From the moment Anneka and Ben saw each other at the top of the aisle…
…To their first kiss as husband and wife!
The happiness of our couple was palpable and joyfully infectious!
On return to Ardington House it was time for couple’s portraits and formal photos.
With rain on its way we swiftly made the most of the beautiful grounds of Ardington House for the portraits.
We love capturing timeless images that our couples will enjoy for many years.
While we do so it is also a unique point in the timeline where our Bride and Groom are alone together.
Anneka wrote us the loveliest email the very next day, which we really appreciated, saying:
“Although you were there pointing a camera at us, it was really special as we had those moments with just the two us!”
After all the official photos were taken it was time to enjoy champagne while, to our delight, the sun still shone!
Gorgeous floral details by Joanna Carter Wedding Flowers filled the marquee.
As everyone made their way to the Wedding Breakfast the heavens finally opened without restraint!
While a torrential downpour continued outside everyone proceeded to enjoy the celebrations inside.
Hilarious and heartfelt speeches kept everyone entertained after a delicious meal!
Toasts set the tone for an epic party that would continue well into the night.
With a short break in the rain we seized the opportunity…
…And stole our couple away for a few additional photos by the water’s edge in the soft evening light.
Anneka and Ben then enjoyed a wonderful first dance under a twinkling canopy of lights.
Congratulations Anneka and Ben; we loved capturing your joy filled and oh so beautiful wedding!
