April and November are our birthday months so we always make a special effort to get away for a few days this time of year. There is no better way to celebrate another year of life than by soaking in a new place and a little adventure! This time we thought what better time to explore Paris for the first time than in Spring. We were not disappointed! Blossoms abounded in the tree lined boulevards amplifying the romance of this already stunning city. We indulged in a little bit of everything Paris has to offer; art, charming streets, iconic sights, food and wine and shopping of course! Our week in Paris was the perfect end to an unforgettable April and we’ve shared some of our highlights from the month below too! Thank you to everyone who crossed our path this month, especially all the lovely couples whose engagement sessions we photographed! All the images below were documented using Instagram and you can find us on here and see a bit of our daily lives by clicking on each of our names…Nicola and Glen!
Cornish Sunset {top right} A spectacular sunset at Trebarwith Strand in beautiful Cornwall following an unforgettable engagement session on the beach!
The Metal Asparagus {middle middle} It’s so funny to think that when the Eiffel Tower was originally built not only was it meant to be a temporary structure but Parisians thought it a blot on the landscape resembling a metal asparagus! Now it is inconceivable to think of the Paris skyline without it.
Nicola’s Birthday Portrait {Bottom left} After indulging in a visit to a Parisian hair salon a birthday portrait was a must…
Monet’s Water Lilies {bottom middle} We spent a perfect morning at the Musée de l’Orangerie contemplating Monet’s ethereal Water Lilies…a reminder of how art impacts the soul…
The Jurassic Coast {top left} At the beginning of April a spontaneous road trip took us to the Jurassic Coast in Devon. We were mesmerised by the dramatic seascapes.
Romantic Paris {middle right} We purely stumbled upon this wisteria covered cafe in Paris near Notre Dame, complete with parrots in the windows and a couple sipping wine. This scene perfectly captures the joie de vivre found around every corner of the city.
Skimming Stones {top middle} Making the most of the pebbles and sun during our day on the dramatic Devon coastline.
Birthday Spoils {bottom right} A new favourite scent, Wood Sage + Sea Salt, was a perfect birthday surprise from Glen!
A Perfect Moment {middle left} A bird flying over I.M. Pei’s iconic glass pyramid and entry way to the Louvre.
