Roz and Ravi’s Chedington Estate in Dorset fusion wedding unfolded over an entire weekend to allow plenty of opportunity to celebrate two very different cultures. After a quintessentially English church service and afternoon tea on the Saturday, the Sunday centred around a traditional Hindu ceremony under the wide Dorset skies. Vibrant silks in oranges and pinks, from Roz’s travels to Rajasthan with her parents, and brightly coloured flowers decorated the Mandap. To give everyone a better understanding of the ceremony, led by Ravi’s uncle in Sanskrit, our couple created beautifully illustrated cards explaining the major parts of the proceedings. The authentic Indian feast that followed was nearly 100% vegan to reflect our Bride’s own lifestyle choice; with the small exception of paneer, the Groom’s absolute favourite food. Even Ravi’s beloved Volkswagen Mark 1 Golf had made the perilous journey from London and was dressed in floral garlands. We love how Roz and Ravi wove as much of their own personalities as their cultures into their wedding. Make sure to check out Day 1 of their epic celebrations!
