Life can sometimes throws you a curve ball. How you navigate this adversity defines you more than the obstacle itself. These defining challenges can present themselves at the most unexpected times. For instance when, like James, you’ve been dating your soulmate for a number of years and you want to ask her to marry you in the most memorable of ways. Like James you may plan something super amazing as traversing a glacier in Iceland for the proposal. Then en route to the biggest moment of your life your snow vehicle might break down and you have to focus all your attention on saving your almost fiancé from freezing to death, just like James had to! Undeterred James simply redirected his plans upon their safe return to London. On Christmas Eve, while enjoying a romantic meal at The Shard, James took Mary’s breath away by going down on one knee. In front of everybody he asked Mary to spend forever with him. Of course she said YES! Needless to say we can’t wait for Mary and James’s wedding day at Luton Hoo later this month…
Mary and James chose the historic university city of Oxford for their winter engagement session in the Cotswolds.
Beautiful stone architecture and cobbled streets covered in bicycle upon bicycle makes Oxford a fabulous backdrop for a city engagement session.
Quiet corners amongst the towering stone buildings provided the perfect places for our couple to get comfortable in front of the camera and lost in the moment with each other.
Mary and James, we loved how you two easily fell into laughter and natural moments together!
If these photos are an indication of what is to come then Mary, without a doubt, you are going to be the most stunning Bride on your wedding day…
We loved spending a wintery afternoon with Mary and James in Oxford. It was the perfect way to get to know this lovely pair before their upcoming wedding celebrations at Luton Hoo this Spring!
